Creating the Loire Collection
I am so pleased to introduce you to our newest collection for Spring/Summer. The Loire collection is unashamedly soft and feminine with a luxurious, cosseting feel that seems particularly apt after yet another challenging winter. I wanted to create a range that felt honest and gentle, with a timelessness that would carry it through for seasons and even years to come. My inspiration came from the exquisite designs of 18th Century French prints and antique faience from Nevers. The designs we have created embrace this heritage and interpret it in a quiet, unobtrusive way. Sets of harmonious florals and geometrics have been designed to be generously layered as cushions, soft furnishings and tableware whilst new furniture is timeless and architectural. The collection also includes new lighting, rugs, decorative accessories, art and ceramics for our most complete seasonal look yet.
Our Loire dining collection is possibly one of our most extensive yet. The range has been designed for a summer of entertaining both inside and out. With five key designs to choose from, this collection is ultra versatile and perfect for mixing and matching.
Our new Magnolia tablecloth is block printed with a fun all-over linear design and finished with a delicate floral border. This cloth is the perfect all-rounder - use it for everything from garden lunches to smart dinner parties indoors. The textural ground makes it easy to style up or keep casual with a mix of linens and ceramics in our coordinating designs.
Our Bouquet de Fleurs linens have been designed to delight. The timeless floral print is nostalgic yet chic and the ruffle edged tablecloth makes a statement on any table. We love styling this print in an orangery or in the garden with abundant summer flowers, lots of coloured glass and a light-hearted mix of decorative ceramics. This design mixes perfectly with our Papier maché pieces or understated pavilion placemats and napkins.
This is the very first time that we’ve created placemats, candlesticks and napkin rings from papier maché. This material has such a charming finish and is remarkably hard-wearing. Each of these pieces has been hand-made and hand-painted by artisans in Kashmir so no two items are the same. The idea behind this range was to give an interesting option that could mix in with our other linens or be used on its own for a completely different look. The papier maché placemats are great on bare tables and are a very practical solution for warm plates!
We’ve carefully designed our Loire textiles so that they can be layered to create a multitude of different looks. This sitting room incorporates a range of textures and materials for a scheme that’s perfect for Spring but could easily be changed up for the colder months. Embroidered velvets in soft colours are perfect trans-seasonal pieces whilst our floral prints give an instant hit of summer whimsy. We’ve also paid close attention to architectural shapes in our Norfolk-made Wensum furniture collection. These pieces mix in effortlessly with a huge range of furniture and we’ve styled them here with mid-century seating but they work just as well with painted or polished antiques.
We are so excited to launch our very first range of woven rattan furniture including these chic scalloped headboards for single and kingsize beds. Our rattan has been woven by hand in Assam and painted in a range of bold colours. We love how easy these headboards make it to give a bedroom a totally different feel whether they’re added to an existing scheme or used as the basis for an entirely new one. Combine with new season cushions and textiles in tonal layers for an easy to style look in any bedroom.
