March Art Edit

We currently have the work of six artists represented in our North Norfolk store and online. We are thrilled to be able to present such a varied body of work by a wonderful group of artists, many of whom have ties to the local area.

Every piece of work we select has been carefully chosen to hang harmoniously alongside our homeware collections and antiques.

We have picked out a few of our favourite statement pieces from our current collection which range from Linda Jamieson’s wonderful abstracts to Catherine Cazalets colourful, graphic paintings.

We will be announcing an exhibition of work by two brand new artists very soon. Watch this space...

Birdie Fortescue Art | Linda Jamieson Artist Four Studies

A set of four studies by Linda Jamieson. The colours are wonderfully vibrant and work particularly well with green accessories.

Birdie Fortescue Art | Linda Jamieson Painting Gala

‘Gala’ by Linda Jamieson. This is the largest of Linda’s paintings that we have in at the moment and would look amazing in a dining or drawing room. The colours are a great fit with accessories in this year’s ultraviolet tones.

Birdie Fortescue Art | Catherine Cazalet Red Zigzag

Birdie Fortescue Art | Catherine Cazalet Painting Ultraviolet

This pair of large scale mixed media paintings by Catherine Cazalet are real style statements. The bold zig zag is overlayed with an intricately drawn weeping willow tree which adds an additional layer of interest to each piece. We have hung the red with similary bold, architectural accessories in whites and reds whilst the purple is the perfect fit for the new ultraviolet colour trend.

Birdie Fortescue Art | Annabel Fairfax Sea Poppies

Our final bright and bold pick is ‘Sea Poppies’ by artist Annabel Fairfax. The colours in this painting sit well with pinks, yellows, blues and greens making it super versatile. We think that this would look fab in a bedroom or kitchen.
