Claire Oxley - Bulrushes
Claire is a Norfolk based artist who studied at the Norwich School of Art, and the Universities of Oxford and Lancaster. A synaesthete with a particular sense for colour and sound, she uses music as a starting point for many of her bold, abstract paintings.
Inspiration for Bulrushes:
These very tall aquatic plants are often found by the edge of ponds, and the Norfolk Broads; their appearance is visually quite unlike other species. Rhythms of wild and managed vegetation are a hallmark of Claire’s work: the plants themselves, and the spaces between.
