Claire Oxley - Cornflower Storm
Claire is a Norfolk based artist who studied at the Norwich School of Art, and the Universities of Oxford and Lancaster. A synaesthete with a particular sense for colour and sound, she uses music as a starting point for many of her bold, abstract paintings.
Inspiration for Cornflower Storm:
Dramatic skies are often to be found in Claire’s paintings; they are something of a feature of the region, where coastal air mixes with warmer inland temperatures. Ultramarine blue has endless depth, and is a dramatic counter-colour to paler hues.
