Claire Oxley - Lifting Mists

Claire is a Norfolk based artist who studied at the Norwich School of Art, and the Universities of Oxford and Lancaster. A synaesthete with a particular sense for colour and sound, she uses music as a starting point for many of her bold, abstract paintings.

Inspiration for Lifting Mists: 

Brief, fleeting scenes are common in East Anglia: rush for your camera, and it’s all changed in an instant. Morning mists by the coast are a common feature, clearing or forming suddenly and unexpectedly.
