Claire Oxley - Storm Over Starflower Fields
£250.00 £250.00
Claire is a Norfolk based artist who studied at the Norwich School of Art, and the Universities of Oxford and Lancaster. A synaesthete with a particular sense for colour and sound, she uses music as a starting point for many of her bold, abstract paintings.
Inspiration for Storm Over Starflower Fields:
One of the most energising weather events that can happen in East Anglia is a summer electrical storm, where the heat of the day builds and erupts in a downpour and multiple flashes of lightening. Borage, or Starflowers, is grown as a fortifying crop for pollinating insects, in great acres of blue and lavender. This field is near Darsham in Suffolk.
