REFRESH YOUR HOME FOR SUMMER

New for SS23, the Florentine collection encapsulates alfresco dining and contemporary living, with playful touches and textural accents, providing the perfect backdrop to Spring / Summer living. Follow our quick and easy tips on how to switch up your interiors as we transition into Summer, using bold colours, natural materials, and geometric prints to bring the Italian sunshine into your homes.

TABLETOP TRICKS

Our new tableware has been designed to be seamlessly styled with past collections and your existing pieces at home, so there is no need to completely overhaul when looking to freshen up your interiors for the new season.  Whether you’re looking to ‘pattern up’ your scheme with the hero Santa Croche tablecloth, or add natural materials and earthy colours to a more laid back dining space, these pieces are guaranteed to lift your home and add a touch of Spring to your interior.

Our go-to trick for making a dining scheme feel refreshed and seasonal is to add a new tablecloth - they are great pieces for every-day dining which can also be ‘dressed up’ for special occasions. Our hero design of this season, the Santa Croce Tablecloth is a contemporary interpretation of the soft geometric frescoes that appear in the Church of Santa Croce in Florence. Block printed by hand in India on a premium linen/cotton blend, the statement print will elevate any table setting and is perfect for both alfresco dining or indoors. Available in two sizes and two bold colourways - blue with pink or green and pink. Try layering with Handwoven Rattan Placemats and Piastrelle Embroidered Napkins for a formal occasion and finish your tablescape with a Pentola Cotton Mache vase of seasonal flowers and green foliage. For a more scaled back look, lay a bare table with the Handwoven Circular Rattan Placemats, coordinating napkin rings and opt for a Rattan Hurricane as your centerpiece.

A SPRING IN OUR STEP

When switching up an interior for the new season, one of the easiest and simplest ways to instantly change the feel of a room can be through introducing a new rug. Perhaps switch out your darker-tone, deeper-pile rug for something more light and airy. New for Spring/ Summer, our Cucito Rug is a timeless classic with a contemporary twist which will provide a beautiful foundation to any interior. Hand-crafted from natural jute fibres, this hard wearing rug is practical as it is stylish and will add a wonderful earthy texture to any room - try styling it underneath a bed for a rustic finish to your bedroom.

SOFA SCHEMING

Cushions are perfect for introducing Spring tones, interesting textures and playful prints into a scheme - whether that be in a bedroom, a cosy reading corner or a sitting room. When updating your home for Spring, try to swap out your heavier textiles and richer colours for cottons and linens in bold or pastel tones. As with all our collections, our range of Florentine cushions are perfect for mixing and matching so there is no need to completely redo your sofa scheme, just layer in a few new pieces to lift the look. Inspired by the astonishing marble floors of the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence, the playful Piazza Chevron Cushion is a timeless piece within the Florentine collection. Block printed by hand in India on to 100% linen, the fun chevron print works well as a standalone statement cushion or as a scatter cushion paired with the Embroidered Baptistery Cushion or Santa Croche Cushion. Opt for a cotton Suzani throw rather than wool throw over the back of your sofa and tie the scheme together with coordinating decorative accessories. If you want to go one step further in your ‘seasonal switch up’, update your lamp base with a Florentine lampshade - opt for a Paper Raffia Lampshade for an artisanal finish or ‘pattern up’ with a geometric shade in a maximalist scheme. If playing with multiple prints in your lampshades and soft furnishings, make sure to coordinate colours for visual harmony.
