The Story

The South-Western Romanian town of Horezu is famed for creating unique handmade ceramics.  This craft is passed down through generations with both men and women working together to create exquisite pottery.  Men extract the earth and form the clay using a specialist technique.  Once the pieces are sculpted, local women decorate with intricate, strié motifs.  Colours are vibrant shades of brown, red, green, blue and Horezu ivory.

We have a limited selection of this very special collection. Coordinating perfectly with our own table linens and tableware, we love to use the bowls to add a jolt of colour to a dining room.  The plates are available in two sizes - the strié patterned larger plates make a wonderful charger whilst the smaller blue and white selection are ideal for starters  and puddings.
