Early 19th Italian walnut inlaid three drawer commode, c1830
£3,750

A fine early 19th-century Italian walnut and inlaid commode, c1830, of elegant proportions, with a moulded rectangular top above three graduated drawers, each framed with contrasting figured veneers and delicate geometric inlay. Raised on slender tapering legs and retaining its original brass furniture, the commode has a rich, warm colour and pleasing aged patina. A particularly elegant and versatile example of the period.
