The furniture in The Silk Road is designed to make a statement while blending seamlessly with existing interiors.

• The Crackle Console Table is a standout, with an Udaipur Green marble top and sculptural metalwork legs. Its surface is hand-painted with a special glaze and left outdoors in the Jaipur sun, allowing the natural elements to create a uniquely crackled texture. No two consoles will ever be the same - all the more special!!
  
  
• The Samode Marble Top Side Table celebrates colour and form with its circular Capri Beige marble top resting on a painted conical base in rich red, blue, or green. It’s a versatile piece that works just as well as a side table in a sitting room as it does by the bedside - we’d have one in every room if we could!
  
  
• The Woven Leather Dining Chair, one of the collection’s hero designs, is handmade with an acacia wood frame and a stylish woven leather seat and back. Available in striking shades of green or blue, these chairs are investment pieces designed to grow more beautiful with age.
  
  
• Inspired by an antique French chair, The Sorgue Striped Armchair offers both comfort and character. With its tall back, generous seat, and woven cotton stripe in green and blue, it’s perfect for anchoring a cosy reading corner. A matching ottoman and stool complete the set.

Rugs are central to Birdie’s vision for The Silk Road, bringing pattern, warmth, and heritage techniques underfoot.

• Striped Jute Rugs, available in blue, green, or red with natural stripes, offer a rustic, textural layer - a new staple for us. Their soumak weave creates an organic, irregular stripe, ensuring each piece feels alive and handmade.

• The Pipris Rug introduces a subtle pattern with a bold key stripe design, while the Paisley Hand Knotted Rug reinterprets traditional Uzbek paisley motifs in a fresh, foliage-inspired design.

Layers of Softness

Soft furnishings are the perfect way to layer in texture, warmth, and comfort – and at this time of year, we simply can’t get enough of them.

• The Striped Knitted Throw, crafted from 100% wool, is finished with playful ricrac trim and available in Red & Green or Blue & Green. Matching cushions allow for a coordinated yet relaxed look.

• The Nandular Quilted Bedspread is luxuriously quilted and embroidered with scrolling floral patterns on striped linen cotton. With its reversible design - patterned on one side, plain on the other - it offers versatility and charm, available in pink, blue, or green.

• Hand-embroidered and patterned cushions inspired by Uzbekistan’s decorative arts bring layers of colour and texture, using cotton, linen, velvet, and wool for depth and richness.

Lighting with Soul

Lighting plays a vital role in The Silk Road, combining sculptural form with artisanal finishes.

• The Hand Painted Stripe Glass Lamp has an expressive strié effect, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same.
  

• Lacquered Column Lamps and Wooden Column Floor Lamps come in high-gloss finishes of red, green, or blue, adding boldness with elegant proportions.
  

• The Brass Floor Lamp with Tray is both functional and sculptural, its slim brass stem featuring a small integrated tray, perfectly sized for a well-deserved drink while sinking into a comfy armchair.

• Our new lampshades are equally diverse, from block-printed Pleated Chevron Shades to embroidered linen designs, each offering texture and detail to complement the bases.

The Finishing Touches

It’s the details that truly complete a look. Our sculptural Pumpkin Candlesticks, with their bold curves and rich matt shades of green, blue, and red, bring a fun elegance to mantlepieces and dining tables alike. Handwoven mendong seagrass trays introduce a natural rhythm and texture, while Portuguese ceramic candlesticks layer in artisanal charm. To finish, block-printed paisley table linens, inspired by traditional Uzbek motifs, weave together colour and pattern – turning everyday moments into occasions.
