We use natural fibres and materials as much as possible, resulting in a wonderful collection of jute, wool and natural cotton rugs that work well all year round. This is entirely down to preference and dependant on if you require an area rug or a larger floor covering. However, as a general rule we feel that bigger is better. A rug that is too small in a room can make the space immediately feel smaller. Before purchasing your rug, accurately measure your space and decide where your rug will be positioned. If you have furniture in your room, you will want the rug to sit under the furniture legs and for there to be rug visible on either side. A bigger rug will enhance your space and can finish a room.
This depends on the material of the rug and where it is positioned in the home. If you are looking for a rug that will be in a busy area of your home, such as a hallway or kitchen, we recommend opting for a robust jute rug or a jute/wool mix. When choosing a rug for a bedroom, living room or a less busy area of the home, then you can choose a wool rug with a deep pile for a more luxurious finish.
We recommend hoovering your rug regularly. Care instructions do differ depending on the material of the rug, however, if you do have a spillage or mark we recommend spot cleaning with diluted vinegar for the best results.
