VASES
At Birdie Fortescue we love to arrange flowers on table settings, bedside tables and coffee tables. Our range of vases in different shapes and sizes are perfect for all settings.
Yes, our cotton mache vases are waterproof, however, we advise only leaving water in them for up to 4 weeks at a time and allowing the vase to dry completely before using again.
If you have purchased a glass or ceramic vase we recommend hand wash only for all our glass and ceramic vases to increase the longevity of the product. For the cotton maché vases they do not require washing, simply let them dry fully in between uses.
This depends on your personal preference and style, as well as which vase you choose and what's in season. However, when it comes to flower arranging we love to gather cut flowers that we can find in the garden. When starting your arrangement style your greenery first to create your structure, then add your flowers in to create your arrangement.
This Autumn Winter, Birdie Fortescue invites you to embark on a design journey along The Silk Road. Inspired by her travels across Asia and her love of heritage crafts, the collection is a tapestry of influences - echoing the intricate patterns of Uzbekistan and the rich artisanal heritage of India, the collection is designed to be effortlessly layered, inviting personal expression through the art of mixing and matching.
