Marina Meredith-Owen started a painting by putting blocks of color on the canvas with big brushes and carry on putting paint on till she is satisfied with the result. She never knows in advance what the painting will look like as she completely immerses herself in the sensuality of the colors and the shapes, trying to create a sense of joy and mystery.

Marina uses and reuses the same motifs, like jugs, fruits, a table or flowers, which she paints from memory so as to give them an emotional response rather than just drawing them as they are.
