The Painted Bookshelf

Our newest piece, practical and elegant, this classically proportioned wooden painted shelving unit is easily assembled, and is available in two soft colours - Lichen green or De Nimes Blue both by Farrow & Ball. Our use of Farrow & Ball makes it easy to coordinate with other home decor, or tie in with your wall colours. The shelving's generous size and stability makes it ideal for storing a much-loved book collection, or your other home accessories. Why not lay a rug in front of it and add an accent chair with stylish lighting to create a tranquil corner - here we have styled our Prateek Rug with our Wensum Circular Table and our Twisted Floor Lamp in taupe for an understated look.

Upholstered

Designed by Birdie, our bespoke upholstered furniture is expertly handcrafted in a beech frame with a sprung seat and back, sumptuous feather filled seat cushions made to British Standards and finished with hand turned stained walnut legs. 

The Upholstered Sofa

This timeless sofa is the perfect investment piece for any home, whether traditional or contemporary. Gently curved arms are finished in a statement contrast stripe linen with three colour choices - fern, indigo, and nutmeg. Deep and comfortable, without being bulky, the sofa seats three on luxurious feather filled cushions which is perfect for relaxing or having the family over for a get together.

Style it with a selection of soft furnishings - we love mismatching cushions and a soft throw for a laid back look. Try this green and blue colour scheme, anchored with our green and blue suzani throw.  The floral motif balances perfectly with geometric and block colour cushions, such as our tiled Capilla Block Print Cushion and our large velvet Shisho Cushions. Arrange your sofa on top of a rug and behind a coffee table, with statement lighting and an accent armchair to create a cosy sitting room. The Upholstered Armchair

Our upholstered armchair is a timeless and elegant addition to drawing rooms, sitting rooms and bedrooms alike and perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Each piece is available with a choice of contrast stripes - fern, indigo, and nutmeg. Hand turned stained walnut legs are the finishing touch to this classic armchair thoughtfully designed with living and style in mind. Much like the sofa, the armchair is deep and comfortable, and looks great with a sumptuous cushion (or a few) on board.

The textural fringing on our pink Embroidered Linen Cushion is sure to make a popular addition to any seating! Position your armchair in a corner next to our Rattan Side Table and a lovely lamp for an inviting reading nook. Our new Twisted Wooden Floor Lamps are the perfect companion for your upholstered armchair, and chose from our wide selection of lampshades each season to update your room. For spring we love our Capilla Block Print Lampshade or our timeless natural Seema Raffia shades.

Our Wensum Range

Wensum was our very first capsule furniture collection featuring dining chairs, pedestal tables, coffee tables and side tables - designed by Birdie to seamlessly sit with our collections of rugs, soft furnishings, tableware and lighting. Inspired by a Danish Mid 20th Century design, the collection is versatile, un-fussy and flawlessly chic. The pieces are characterised by clean lines and chic silhouettes, which sit perfectly in any interior taste. We have three soft colourways to choose from - sage green, taupe and petrol blue perfect to see you through, from season to season. 

Wensum Circular Table 

This is a stunning multi-purpose piece. Use it as a side table next to an armchair or sofa, as a bedside table, or as an occasional table in a hallway. With plenty of space for a lamp and your current reads, why not pair this table with our statement Mosaic Lamp and a Seema Raffia Lampshade, or make a feature with a Bubble Vase of fresh seasonal flowers.

Wensum Side Table

Much like the circular table, this sleek smaller table has many uses. The side table is stylish positioned next to sitting room upholstery, as a bedside table or a table for keys and a lamp next to your front door. Wensum Coffee Table 

The classic shape of this table is juxtaposed by its unusual feet which give it a fresh, statement look. Wensum Dining Chair 

These dining chairs are the ultimate combination of style and comfort, ideal for both casual brunches and celebratory dinner parties. Choose from two rich colours paired with 100% linen upholstery.

We like to add cushions and throws to chairs for social gatherings, they are such lovely touches that are always appreciated - particularly for that extra comfort! Wensum Pedestal Table 

This table has all of the versatility of the Circular Table in a larger size. Measuring 120cm in diameter, this piece is perfect as a breakfast table, hall table or dining table. The three statement colour ways give this table real impact in a room and make it easy to style with minimal home accessories. However, we love to layer up with table linen, glassware, mismatching ceramics and a beautiful vase in the centre. Don’t forget to add artwork to the walls of your dining space, and why not lay one of our Rhombus Rugs underneath the table for floor to ceiling colour.
