Practical yet chic, our wooden Painted Bookshelf is designed by Birdie and crafted entirely by hand in North Norfolk. With classic proportions and clean lines this versatile bookcase is ideal for storing a much-loved book collection, or for displaying objects in a drawing or sitting room. 

  • Available in two soft colours, Lichen Green or De Nimes Blue, both by Farrow & Ball.
  • Self assembly is required. Due to its size, the bookshelf is delivered flat-packed and slots together without the need for power tools. Full instructions are included and we ask that you allow time for assembly on the day of delivery.
  • This piece is made to fulfil your order so please allow a lead time of 6-8 weeks as we do not hold stock of this time. Please keep that in mind when ordering.
  • Available as a standard size only. Please check all measurements carefully when ordering, including doorways, hallways and staircases to ensure the assembled piece will fit in its intended room. 

 

Please note, this is not a bespoke or made to order piece. It is produced in our Norfolk workshop in a standard size and finish only, we are unable to offer custom sizing or colour options beyond what is listed. 



As this piece is made to fulfil your specific order, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once production has begun. You have 7 days from the date of the order to make any amendments or cancellations. After this window, we are unable to make changes. Please ensure you are happy with your selection and have checked all measurements before placing your order. All shipping costs are non-refundable.

Delivery & Returns

UK Delivery
Dispatched within up to 10 working days via DPD or similar courier. Delays may occur during busy periods or if awaiting stock. Furniture is delivered to the door only.

US Delivery and Returns

All products listed on our US website are shipped directly from our US warehouse with no import fees, if you require a product that is not listed on our US website, please contact our Customer Service team. For returns, items are sent back to our local US warehouse and returns requests can be made via our Returns Portal

International Delivery
We ship worldwide. For any orders outside of the US, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout. Large furniture items may require a bespoke shipping quote. US customers may be asked for IRS / EIN / SSN details by customs.

Handcrafted and bespoke. Non-refundable. Amendments allowed within 7 days. Returns (if unavoidable) incur a 40% restocking fee.
